ABOUT JEANNIE AU
Hi! My name is Jeannie and I’m a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and New York University with a B.A. double majoring in biology and journalism. I received my master’s degree in public health from Columbia University.
I am a proud native New Yorker who went through the NYC school system myself and I deeply understand the transformative power of academic mentorship. My tutoring journey began in 2020, when I started helping elementary school students navigate math during the pandemic. I later worked as an academic writing specialist at Columbia University to help first-year master’s students refine their writing.
My background in journalism fuels my approach to tutoring. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and build genuine connections with my students. I am highly committed to each student’s progress, customizing my teaching to fit their individual learning goals.
